2020-2021 BUS POLICY

To ensure that all students in our neighborhood get access to a high-quality education, Atlas Preparatory School has committed significant resources to provide our bus system, which is EXTREMELY rare for a small school.  Riding the bus at Atlas Preparatory School is a PRIVILEGE and a LIMITED RESOURCE, which will be taken away from students who abuse this privilege and resource.

Students that are written up, more than once, by the bus driver and/or monitors for misbehavior on the bus WILL lose bus privileges and will have an assigned seat for the remainder of the school year. Students must board buses at their appropriate schools. Bus badges are required for all students that ride the bus.  The badge must be shown to the monitor or driver before entering the bus. Atlas will issue the first badge for free. A replacement badge cost is $5.00.

Please note that due to the larger number of routes and buses this year, Atlas cannot guarantee that every route will have a Bus Monitor in addition to the driver.  Please consider this when deciding whether to have your student ride the bus.
